How To Make Festive Christmas Tree Waffles For Dogs?

Making waffles for dogs is a fun way to make dog treats. I make them all the time, swapping out the typical dog-bone-shaped dog treats. I make sure that I use ingredients that are safe for both humans and dogs, so we can both enjoy them.

For some festive fun this holiday season, I made some Christmas Tree Waffles for dogs. These easy-to-make and adorable tasty treats are perfect for serving your furry friend during the holiday festivities. I plan to make more and share them with my dogs on Christmas Day.

How To Make The Dog-Safe Green Waffles

There are many ways to make dog-safe green waffles. One way is to use dog-friendly green leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach, and collard greens. Another option is using green beans. Herbs like parsley and mint can also add a delightful taste. Simply mix your choice with water to make a green liquid.

In this recipe, I used spinach to make the dog waffles green.

I have a standard round waffle maker, and typically, I cut each round waffle diagonally to create triangles.

However, for this recipe, I opted to use a heart-shaped waffle silicone mold. I stacked three heart-shaped waffles upside down to form a Christmas tree, just as I did in this recipe.

It is easy to make: just mix waffle batter with the green liquid of your choice.

1. Waffle Dog Mix
For this recipe, I used Bark Bistro Pancake Dog Mix – Pooch Awesome Apple Pancakes flavor.

(You can create your own waffle dog mix by selecting the flour of your preference and incorporating some dog-friendly flavorings.)

2. For this recipe, I used Spinach Green Liquid = blending spinach with water. Adjusting the ratio by adding more spinach and less water intensifies the vibrant green color of the liquid.

3. Make the waffle mixture by following the Bark Bistro Pancake Dog Mix direction:
3/4 Pancake Mix
3/4 Cup of Liquid

4. Mix well and then pour the mixture into the waffle heart shaped silicone mold

5. Bake at 350 for 20 – 30 minutes

6. Let it cool and forn the Christmas Tree
